The Monte Vista High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted five new members at a ceremony on April 27th. For consideration the students must maintain at least a 3.65 GPA (based on a 4.0), perform community service, show leadership and good character. Tayler Rocha 2014 graduate recieved a special honor given to STS semifinalists, and she was invited to submit her research paper back in the early summer of 2014 to a professor from the University of Chicago. The journal is E=MC2, a collection of HS student work featuring some major component of analytical or math usage...for her, she had a fair amount stats, as well as some computer modeling of complex changes in water volume in the basins she studied. http://mazziotti.uchicago.edu/journal/indyjo.html is the link to the webpage of the journal, and her article is at the bottom of the page.
