History Fair Awards!
This past Saturday, 18 high school students traveled to Regional History Fair at Adams State and made a great showing! We have 11 students that will be continuing on to State History Fair in Denver on May 2nd. Below are some pictures from the day and a list of those who participated (and where they finished).

Tribute To Mr. Doug Steward
On Monday January 20th, community members, family members, students and staff joined together for a touching tribute to Mr. Doug Steward. Mr. Steward was a science teacher in Monte Vista HS for many years. He was very involved in making science come to life for each of his students. He championed Science Fair and helped guide many students in understanding science through actual experimentation. Outside of the classroom he was a Scout Leader and continued his passion to teach. The Science wing is now the "Doug Steward Science Wing". A very deserving honor to one who educated so many students here in Monte Vista High School.
